Wrap your hijab

·

mona  haydar

At the time the nearly 9 month pregnant mona thought that it was high time that people new the real deal over a hijab womans life.

Born in the 80 s and living in america meant that she was expossed at an early age to the retoric that goes along with being a covered women

With a powerful statement the bold words in the song wrap my hijab also being cause of the most of the buzz about this as music is because that in islam music is seen to be a sin ..

But in these times the modern ages of the super highway that is the internet and the times that is based on technology.  It was inevitable that a hijabi would get sick of those same old questions…..do you sleep in your hijab ? do you wash it like your hair? some even going as far as being obscene

the controversial music video is noty one of the first to be in the lime light but this is the first time tha a hijabi in a music video is and raping about the struggles of hijabis.

There are many muslim artists now and everyone views them differently from schollors to so called haraam police.

wishing mona all the best with the baby asalamalikium warahmahtulahi wa barakatoe
