Is Romania set for change.

.Now in the last few years there has been no stopping us,

The #UnitedIndependentStateOfWomen

#MothersSistersDaughters alike..

All standing together as one.
So it’s only fair to say that women deserve to have…. equal rights, equal opportunities , equal pay ….

#WE as women can hold high powered positions,

#WE  women as ministers of Parliament,

#WE  as women as prime ministers presidents and leaders of countries.

Which brings me to a certain lady who could of been that person and still can have the opportunity to land herself’ in the history books for Romania’s firsts …

1. First Muslim sworn in with their hand on the Quran

2. First female as Prime Minister

3. (first female deputy Prime Minister)present

Sevil Shhaieda born 4th of December 1964 and at the age of 52 the Romanian economist, civil servant and politician is set to make the history books at least for one thing and that is being the first Muslim sworn into parliament with her hands upon the Quran….. Shhaideh almost became the First female Muslim prime minister following the steps of other for women in world politics and leadership the likes of  Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, Marie Curie, Victoria Queen of England, Beatrix Queen of the Netherlands.
Sevil Shhaieda 52 comes from ethnic group called Crimea Tatars, this is an ethnic group that was made up of Turkish Russian and Ukrainian descent. These made up the Crimea peninsula between the 13th and 17th century. The Turkic group or as they were known here in the West….. Europe from the Asian descent. Sevil’s mother Muesek Cambek who is  the daughter of famous Turkish historian Kamal Karpat and her father Saedine Cambek is from Turkish descent.

In the late 80s she graduated from the Academy of Economics science in Bucharest ,then went to work for the faculty of Economic planning and cybernetics. Here she became public administrator of Constanta council, after a time, the head Director General for all the projects. During the same short period she was also the coordinator of the National Union of Romanian council. A little later in 2012 she began as Secretary of State in the ministry of Regional Development. Although she was not at all well known she carried on working for the department between May and November of 2012 this time in the postition of Civil Minister of the Department political administration and public administration. This time she was  a member of the Party for de social democrats (PSP) headed at the time by Victor Ponta who was then the predecessor of Dragnea.

With no more than a  year later on 21st December 2016, she was first preference of the parties PSP the party for social Democrats and the Alliance of Liberal Democrats (ALDE) as candidate for Prime Minister. President Klaus Iohannis, behind the closed doors of the cabinet had a decision to make with many matters to take in to consideration. Pontas predecessor Deputy Prime Minister Dragnea had  already had to resign from the cabinet may 2015.

(He resigned from the cabinet in May 2015 after the conviction in the continued case involving electoral fraud for which he got two years suspended sentence in April 2016 after that December 2016 the parliamentary elections he became president of the Chamber of deputies meaning that he actually kept his seat in the chamber he was elected by Party social Democrats and the Alliance of Liberal Democrats)

Not to run as leader  but it doesn’t mean that he can’t still be in his party just as active apart. Last minute before the end of the year and the closing of internal elections that they had been allotted to choose a prime minister.

Dragnea came forward with Shhaieda as prime minister…

The role Sevil had to fill, having been then the first Muslim female member of parliament and also the first female prime minister. Setting Romania up there for the countries that are changing the times and trying to keep up with the every changing political sphere.
With the allotted  time frame over and they waited for response. The president and governors where busy looking into Shhaieda personal and Financial background it became apparent that because of her marriage to Syrian businessman Akram Shhaieda. it is said that they have three property’s Syria, also it is Said that he is a supporter and has an affiliation with President Assad and his regime.

Keeping this in mind President Iohannis and the cabinet had a difficult decision

If they accept the PSP proposal from dragnea.  would there of been have been a chance that she  only would be a front woman for him to keep on practicing politics. It was also  said there would be some sort of security threat because of her Syrian businessman husband and his contacts Assad and his regime
Back to Sevil will she ever be able to still have the chance to become Prime Minister?…. Dragnea and the leader of the junior coalition party Alliance of the liberal Democrat Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu have accused president of Iohannis of playing partisan politics saying that he is supposed to be over the level of partisan politics because of the presidency that he is leaving Romania again with a huge decision, whether to keep Klaus Iohannis as President and whether to accept change and put the first female Muslim Prime Minister in office……..

At the end of this whole story will Dragnea get his own way and become president of Romania with Sevil  as his Prime Minister (all in total will take two years to finalise leaving dragnea with a completed suspended  two year sentence)

Meanwhile  Sevil Shhaieda 52 has taken the position  the first Muslim  deputy  prime minister  of Romania ..
Congratulations.. Sevil Shhaieda and keep up all the good work  you have done, are doing and the ones still to come.

keep  calm ..and..carry on

Khadija out.
